iid3 Study
The Third Infectious Intestinal Disease Study
Diarrhoea and/or vomiting is an important health problem.
This study is interested in ascertaining what is causing intestinal disease. There are 2 cohorts.
- Cohort 1 have been invited by text and are answering a weekly questionnaire to track any instances of sickness/diarrhoea, if they have symptoms, they are to submit a stool sample via post.
- Cohort 2 is opportunistic recruitment, anyone presenting with diarrhoea and/or vomiting can submit a one-off sample to the study and also complete a one-off questionnaire. If their sample contains any pathogens, they will be told.
