Clinics

Carers

If you care for a sick relative, child, friend or neighbour, please let us know. We can offer you support and information.

see our carers page for local and national support services

Community Midwives

The midwives work with the doctors to provide care for mothers before and after delivery and care for the baby in the first fortnight of life, and can be contacted on 01275 335687

Community Nursing

Community Nurses provide nursing treatments and advice to the housebound and patients recently discharged from hospital. GP practices cannot directly request a District Nurse to visit a patient. Instead they are required to make a referral via the SPA referral system which is run by SIRONA. SIRONA will then advise if they can add the pateint to their caseload for home visits.

They can be contacted on 01275 335657

Covid Vaccinations

We run both spring and autumn vaccination campaigns every year, and we will announce the start of the vaccination campaign on our website.

We will invite all eligible patients to book, although that can take time.

If you feel you are eligible, please contact us as early in the season as possible so that we can get you booked in. Early vaccination will keep you protected.

See our appointments page for booking details

Flu Vaccinations

For registered patients over 65 years of age and those in at-risk categories, the practice offers flu vaccinations.

Flu vaccinations will take place in Autumn each year, and Clevedon Medical Centre will publicise the campaign.

Learning Disabilities

Learning disabilities are different from learning difficulties (such as dyslexia or ADHD) and can sometimes be associated with other conditions, including autism or developmental delays. They are usually identified in childhood and continue into adulthood.

Minor illness

We have several minor illness clinics running each day, these clinics are run by paramedics and physiotherapists.

These clinicians are highly trained professionals with a wealth of experience in the management of minor illnesses which involve things like skin rashes, coughs and urinary issues.

Neurodiversity, Autism & ADHD

Neurodiversity is not a diagnosis, so recognising neurodiversity in an individual does not therefore need a diagnostic assessment. Neurodiversity is a term that recognises people experience and respond to the world around them in different ways.

This different perspective can lead to new ideas, scientific breakthroughs and creativity or unique skillsets. Individuals may also have aspects of life they find more challenging for which they require additional support.

See our neurodiversity page for advice and local and national support services

Pneumococcal Vaccinations

For patients aged over 65 who have not already had one, the practice recommends they have a pneumococcal vaccination.
