GP practices are increasingly leveraging digital technologies to improve patient access and engagement. This includes online access to health records, appointment booking and ordering repeat prescriptions.
But whilst many patients have joined the digital journey, we know there are still many who struggle with using digital and online services. That’s why we are delighted to bring you news of two new initiatives which we believe will benefit many of our patients.
Free Digital Drop-in Sessions
Every Friday between 12 noon and 3.30 pm Clevedon Medical Centre will be hosting free Digital Support sessions for patients over 50, in partnership with Curo and Community Connect. The sessions will start on Friday 20th June 2025 and help will be on hand to guide patients through the NHS App, Accurx and our website.
If you are looking to get more confident using digital services, ordering your repeat prescriptions or accessing medical information through your mobile phone, this is your chance to access hands on support in a relaxed, friendly setting. Call us on 01275 335666 and select option 1 to book your place on a 30 minute Digital session please.
If you have a smartphone or tablet, please bring it with you to your session so you can be shown how to use it more confidently.
New Look Clevedon Medical Centre Website
Our new look website has gone live!
- Clear, simple and easy to use navigation to the most popular areas used by patients
- Ability to self-select conditions which can be seen by a Community Pharmacist, such as earache, sinusitis and sore throat
- A comprehensive self-care section, showing all the help, support and advice available from national and local organisations
Help on navigating around our new website will be included in the upcoming Digital Support Sessions
When building the new look website, we have consulted with our Patients Participation Group and taken onboard their feedback. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed.
Improving your appointment experience with AI Medical Scribes
To help you get the maximum benefit from your appointment with a clinician, we are trialling an artificial intelligence (AI) Medical Scribe system.
This system will automatically take notes in real-time during the appointment, allowing more time for the clinician to engage fully with patients and build rapport.
The system transcribes conversations as they happen, but no audio recordings are stored, and only the notes the clinician saves will be added to your records. Your consent is essential, and you will be asked at the start of your appointment if you are happy for the system to be used. You can decline or withdraw your consent at any time. If you have any feedback on the system, please let us know.
